Living with Fliteboards

These motorised surfboards have started to appear in Cabbage Tree Bay, worrying swimmers, scuba divers and locals generally. Sadly, the Council does not have jurisdiction over the water and can’t ban Fliteboard use. Instead after discussions between the Forum, locals, Cr Candy Bingham and Fliteboards owners, Council has instigated a self-regulated control plan. It involves Fliteboarders moving directly through Cabbage Tree Bay to the open ocean while keeping to walking pace, and not foiling up out of the water. They must also keep as far as possible from swimmers. Please let rangers know if this is not happening.
