Brickbat or Bouquet, you choose. No time is a good time to returf East Esplanade. Dammed if they do dammed if they don’t, but Council has chosen the pre Christmas holiday time to returf both the ocean beachfront and East Esplanade.
Brickbat to the hooligans who broke into the cafe at Little Manly and stole all the ice blocks. Unpleasant scenes followed the next day when ice blocks were not available. This was almost as big a disaster as the barista machine being out of order.
Bouquet to Council for enforcing the Stopwork order on the unit block opposite LM Beach resulting in the unauthorised additional roof top works being dismantled.
Brickbat to council for arriving at the end of the year with no plan to commence the master-planning process for the iconic Manly To Shelly walk. Blaming Sydney Water for not stumping up $50k for their contribution to get the process going is not good enough. Meanwhile the repairs to the trip hazards of asphalt patchwork continues.
Brickbat to the Hop skip Jump bus drivers for persistently leaving minutes before the advertised time at the Wharf.
Bouquet to the team now sifting the sand pile in the heat at Little Manly. Some further human remains have been found and the Office of Aboriginal Heritage is assessing them and working on a repatriation plan.
Bouquet to Australia Post for finally reopening a full service Post Office in Raglan St. Despite appearances on Friday 9 December the builders maintain that it will be open on Monday 12 December 2022.
Bouquet to the local hedge trimmers who got out and trimmed their overhanging hedges back to their property boundary after last months brickbat. Thanks, much appreciated :)
