Manly’s new Parking Permit Scheme will be rolled out in the next few months. What’s changed is that permits will have to be linked to a specific vehicle or address. This will hopefully stop permits being on-sold and limiting them to genuine local residents. There will also be a big reduction in the number of permits issued to businesses and there will be no permits for trailers or boats. Good news for the community in these uncertain times is that there will be no increase in permit fees and the first permit will still be free.
